What I do

When I was 10 years old my Grandfather gave me a book called ‘How To Do Just About Anything.’ It had lessons on how to plumb a house, tailor a suit, bake a cake and send an apology letter. I was obsessed by it.

I’ve spent my career doing just about anything in the arts. I’ve spent 17 years acting on stage in New Zealand and Australia. I have worked consistently in film and television, spending 2020 on the Lord of the Rings TV series. I’ve written, dramaturged, directed and occasionally built theatre experiences. As a Creative Director, I’ve created events for organisations and companies at various scales - from small community halls up to 3,000 seat venues.

I love work that is clever, theatrical, fun and has buckets of heart. If your project lives in that world then I’d love to talk.

Creative Director

I make big events. Sometimes they are at a small scale but they are always big. I am deeply focussed on creating interactive work that puts the general public at the heart of the experience. I have created indoor and outdoor civic events, awards ceremonies and fashion shows. From conception to delivery I’m driven to making unforgettable events.

Writer

I never thought I’d be a writer but I love it. My work has been performed throughout New Zealand, Australia and The United States. I am currently have commissions with the New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Australian Theatre for Young People, Auckland Live and Critical Stage NSW. I’d love to discuss new ideas.

Dramaturg

As an actor and a writer I understand both sides of the script. I have techniques for creating fresh, exciting dialogue, a good rule book for structure and a great nose for discovering the heart of the story you are trying to tell. I’ve spent my career making and collaborating on new work. Understanding how scripts work is in my bones.

Director

I’m energised by the challenge of directing someone else’s work; finding out their true intentions and theatricalising their ideas. I love bringing a team of artists together to make wild, theatrical and heartfelt experiences.
